Virat Kohli was hit on his thumb
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batter Virat Kohli suffered injury during their encounter against Gujarat Titans (GT) in IPL 2025 on Wednesday.
Several fans are worried whether they will be able to see the star batsman in action in RCB's next match.
While the fans were left worried over the injury, RCB head coach Andy Flower has recently given a major update about the development. According to Flower, all is well with Virat Kohli.
"Virat looks fine, he's okay," said Flower in the post-match press conference.
Notably, on the fifth ball of GT's chase vs RCB, prolific batter Sai Sudharsan swatted a powerful sweep shot on a Krunal Pandya delivery. Kohli, who was fielding at deep mid-wicket, hurt his finger while trying to field the ball. The ball went through Kohli's hands and raced away for a four. Kohli was seen wreathing in intense pain.
Meanwhile, RCB head coach Andy Flower was effusive in his praise to Mohammed Siraj who was head and shoulders above the rest. He wished him all the 'success'.

However, Flower isn't dwelling on the missed opportunity to retain Siraj.
"We all rate Siraj very highly, and we love him. I think we had a good auction. I wish him all the success in the world. We are happy with the squad that we have got," said Flower.
