Union Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday slammed the ruling BJD for allegedly neglecting people of Odisha and lack of development in the last 25 years. While addressing a huge public meeting at Chandbali in Bhadrak district, Amit Shah urged people of Odisha to vote for BJP.

“The people of Odisha sacrificed their lives and fought valiantly against Samrat Ashoka. But today, Naveen babu is trying to impose a Tamil CM on the people. People tolerated Naveen Babu but we will not tolerate this Tamil babu in your name,” said Amit Shah.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already won 310 seats after the reports of fifth phase polls in the country.

"By 6th and 7th phases, we want to ensure 400 plus seats," he said. “Apart from this, we have to win 17 Lok Sabha seats and set a BJP government here in Odisha by winning 75 plus seats. On June 4, results will be announced and Naveen Patnaik will become the former chief minister. Do you want a youth CM in Odisha? A devotee of Lord Jagannath will be the CM of Odisha. It will be after a gap of 25 years that Odisha will get an Odia speaking CM,” said Amit Shah.

'Who Should Run The Government?'

Who should run the government in Odisha? Whether it should be run by an elected leader (CM) or any Tamil babu, questioned Amit Shah while targeting the state of affairs in Odisha.

“The elections here are a battle for Odisha Asmita. Are you ready to allow a Tamil Babu to run the government from behind the curtains? A Jan Sevak will run the government if BJP is voted to power,” said Amit Shah.

'Odisha is Prosperous State, People Still Are Poor'

Despite being rich in natural resources, the people here are still poor. It is only CM Naveen Patnaik is to be blamed for this situation, alleged Amit Shah

“Vote BJP to power here and we will ensure that no youth will have to leave the state in search of work,” said Shah.

'Tamil Babu Deprived Odisha People Of Attending Ram Utsav'

The Tamil babu in Odisha had stopped the people of Odisha from attending the grand Ram Mandir Utsav. Will the people of Bhadrak tolerate any kind of disrespect to Lord Jagannath? Should all the gates of Jagannath temple be opened and the temple run as per traditions, asked Amit Shah.

Where Are Ratna Bhandar Keys? “I want to ask CM Naveen Patnaik what happened to the original keys of Ratna Bhandar? Duplicate keys were made and Naveen Babu should answer why the keys were made and why the inquiry report is not being made public? Whom the BJD government is trying to protect? Vote BJP to power, and we will make the report public within a month,” said Amit Shah.

While addressing the public meeting, Amit Shah once again targetted CM Naveen Patnaik for 'providing only empty bags while the centre provides free ration'.

“Ayushman Bharat is not being implemented in Odisha. PM Modi pledged for providing drinking water but here lakhs of people are deprived of the benefits. We will fulfill the demands of a medical college in Bhadrak within four months of forming government and grant autonomous status to the college here. PM Modi has granted Textile Park but it has not been materialised,” said Shah.

Infiltrators Have Reached Odisha: Amit Shah

Can Tamil babu or CM Naveen Patnaik stop infiltrators who had reached Odisha, questioned Amit Shah while urging people to vote for BJP.

Congress creates fear and says not to ask for Pakistan Occupied Kashmir by saying that the neighbouring country has atom bomb, said Amit Shah adding that the BJP is not afraid of Pakistan’s atom bombs and it will remain India’s and 'we will claim it back.'

'Naveen Babu should contest the poll from Tamil Nandu'

Addressing a rally at Nimapara, Home Minister Amit Shah took a dig at Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik saying, “Mines in Odisha are leased to people in Tamil Nadu, contracts are awarded to Tamil people and jobs are also given to Tamil people. If that had to happen, Naveen Babu should have contested the elections from Tamil Nadu,” he observed.

Pointing out the issue of labour migration from Odisha, the BJP stalwart also stated that it is Prime Minister Narendra Modi who can halt the migration.

Raking up the multi-crore chit fund scam, Shah said, “It is during the Naveen Patnaik-led BJD government, that the people of Odisha lost crores of rupees to the chit fund companies. I assure you all that let the BJP form the government and we will put all the chit-fund scammers behind bars. Every penny duped by the ponzi firms will be returned to the poor.”

“In the neighbouring Chhattisgarh, the BJP government is paying Rs 3100 as MSP per quintal of paddy. Let the BJP form the government in Odisha, it will pay the same amount to the farmers in the state,” he added.
