BJP National Vice-President and party’s Kendrapara Lok Sabha candidate, Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda on Tuesday attended a party workers conference and ‘Mishran Parv’ in Mahakalapada, where scores of BJD and Congress activists joined the saffron camp.

Panda was accorded a grand welcome at Angulai Bazaar and later attended the workers’ conference at a local mandap. All the workers of Zone 25 participated in the conference and emphasis was laid on various aspects, including strengthening the booth-level organisation, reaching out to the people and highlighting the achievements and welfare schemes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Panda interacted with the party workers and shared a detailed roadmap to achieve targets in their respective areas.

“Today, hundreds of workers from Mahakalapada block and Marsaghai Mandal attended the programmes. The excitement of people is clearly visible and they have made up their minds to see Narendra Modi as Prime Minister for the third term and the party will win 400 plus seats including Kendrapara. The people here also want a double-engine government in Odisha,” said Panda.

According to Panda, the meetings with workers are being conducted to strengthen the base and ensure that the existing people’s mandate for the BJP and PM Narendra Modi reaches the ballot boxes. Detailed roadmap, and how to execute strategies are being discussed, he said.

Later in the day, Panda took out a massive rally in Mahakalapada from Angulai. The rally covered a distance of 20 kms across seven panchayats and villages. BJP's MLA candidate for Mahakalapada, Durga Prasanna Nayak and thousands of party workers attended the rally.
