People of Odisha have already made up their minds to ensure lop-sided victories for BJP both in Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in the State, said Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) National President JP Nadda while holding a massive roadshow in Bhubaneswar on Thursday.

“This huge gathering and excitement amid the scorching heat and humid conditions show that the people of Odisha have decided to vote for BJP to form government both in the State and the Centre. People of the State want an active and healthy Chief Minister who can communicate with them in Odia...,” said Nadda.

“People of Odisha are happy with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s work. The way officers took over the administration and Naveen babu became inactive for the last 20 years, people of Odisha now want to give rest to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and work to BJP,” he added.

Nadda On BJP’s CM Candidate For Odisha

Clearing the air on who will be the Chief Minister face of BJP in Odisha, Nadda said, “BJP decided its CM candidate for Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan within three days. Similarly, the CM candidate for Odisha will also be decided.”

Reflecting on trends after the first phase of voting in Odisha, the senior saffron party leader said ‘BJD has missed the bus and now it is in the favour of the Bharatiya Janata Party’. 

JP Nadda On Poll Violence in Odisha

Nadda condemned the recent poll violence incident in Ganjam in which a BJP worker lost his life and three others were injured.

“These kinds of incidents should not happen and elections should be conducted in democratic ways,” said Nadda.

Nadda On Govt Officials Allegedly Working For Ruling BJD

When asked about the alleged involvement of government officials in the election process, Nadda said, “It’s a matter of a few days and all those will be taken to task.”

It is worth mentioning that the BJP has time and again raised the issue of government officials including police officials allegedly working for the ruling BJD in Odisha. 

JP Nadda’s Roadshow

During the roadshow, the two-km-long stretch from Mausima Square to Lingaraj temple was chock-a-block with the participation of thousands of BJP workers and common people who braved the scorching heat and humid conditions.

BJP’s Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha candidate Aparajita Sarangi and Bhubaneswar Ekamra nominee Babu Singh and other party leaders were present during the roadshow. Nadda had the darshan of Lord Lingaraj and sought His blessings after the roadshow.
