Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) National Vice President and Kendrapara Lok Sabha candidate, Baijayant Panda stepped up campaigning in the Aul Assembly segment on Tuesday.

Speaking to the media, Baijayant Panda said, "Development in Kendrapara has derailed over the last five years and it needs to be reactivated. Hence, there is a need for a double-engine government in Odisha.”

The BJP stalwart further stated that all possible steps and arrangements had been put in place to ensure railway connectivity in Kendrapara during his tenure as MP.

Over the years, the kind of industries that the district requires have not come up, he lamented.

The BJP leader asserted that the saffron party will cross its target of 400 LS seats and will succeed in Odisha.

As soon as Baijayant Panda reached Bilikana in Aul, thousands of party workers accorded him a rousing welcome. He also discussed electoral strategies with Krushnachandra Panda, BJP’s MLA candidate for the Aul seat, other frontline leaders and party workers.

“There is no doubt that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be voted to power for the third time. Even Odisha has a massive Modi wave. The world is praising the Prime Minister because of the remarkable progress the country has seen in the last ten years. Odisha has to be made a part of this development,” he added.
