Two minor children were critically injured after a cracker thrown in a garbage pile exploded on the Police Reserve campus in Sonepur on Tuesday.
As per reports, a garbage pile near a house on the police reserve campus was burning this morning. Twin sons of a police official were basking near the fire when a cracker, which was thrown into the pile, exploded. The 7-year-old kids sustained critical burns.
They were rushed to the district headquarters hospital.
Suniti Patra, mother of the injured children said, "I came to know that my two sons were admitted to the hospital after they were injured critically in a cracker explosion. The municipality had dumped garbage on the campus.”
