Special pilgrimage train carrying 800 senior citizens from Bhubaneswar departs
As many as 800 senior citizens have departed Bhubaneswar on a special pilgrimage train, destined for the holy town of Shirdi.
This initiative, launched by Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi marks a significant moment for many of the elderly travellers.
“A special team of doctors have also been deployed to take care of your health if anybody falls ill during the journey,” he added.
The pilgrimage train initiative aims to provide an accessible and comfortable travel experience for senior citizens wishing to undertake this significant spiritual journey. The participants are expected to spend time at the famous Sai Baba temple in Shirdi, engaging in prayers and reflection.

Many passengers expressed their joy and felt grateful for the opportunity to visit the revered spiritual destination.
“It’s a great initiative by the State government. We are getting benefitted due to this initiative by the government. All kinds of arrangements have been made for our smooth journey. We pray to Shirdi Sai Baba for our smooth, safe and secure journey,” said a senior citizen.
“The Mohan Majhi government has made smooth arrangements for our journey to Shirdi. We are very much happy and grateful for the initiative,” said another senior citizen.
