Infrastructure Modernisation Takes Centre Stage

The redevelopment focuses on comprehensive infrastructure development, including redesigned station buildings, expanded platforms, and upgraded ticketing systems.

Critical congestion points like Titilagarh and Harishankar Road will gain second entry points, while stations such as Koraput and Damanjodi will see extended foot-over bridges (FOBs) for smoother passenger flow.

Safety enhancements feature raised platform surfaces and widened FOBs equipped with ramps and lifts, ensuring accessibility for senior citizens and differently-abled travellers.

Sustainability at the Core of Redevelopment

Aligned with eco-friendly principles, the project incorporates solar energy systems, rainwater harvesting, and sewage treatment plants.

Stations like Bolangir and Muniguda will adopt green building techniques, while others, including Kantabanji, will implement advanced waste management solutions. Furthermore, water conservation measures aim to reduce environmental impact and promote sustainable resource use.

Enhanced Passenger Amenities for Inclusive Travel

Modern amenities such as high-speed Wi-Fi, digital signage, and GPS-enabled clocks will elevate passenger convenience. Upgraded waiting lounges, modern toilets, and dedicated facilities for differently-abled individuals underscore the initiative’s inclusive design.

Enhanced security infrastructure, including CCTV surveillance and improved lighting, will ensure safer travel environments.
