Project Details

The approved projects comprise a total capacity of 149.97 megawatts (MW). They include two wind power projects generating 95.7 MW combined, four solar power projects totalling 53.97 MW, and Odisha's first battery storage project with a capacity of 0.6 megawatt-hour (MWh). These developments aim to utilise Odisha's abundant natural resources, driving the state forward in its renewable energy ambitions outlined in its policy.

Boosting Green Growth and Energy Security in Odisha

These newly approved renewable energy projects will play a crucial role in transforming Odisha’s energy landscape. By harnessing wind, solar, and battery storage technologies, the state will significantly reduce its dependence on fossil fuels, cutting carbon emissions and promoting environmental sustainability. The addition of 149.97 MW of clean energy capacity, including Odisha’s first battery storage project, will not only stabilize the power supply during peak demand and outages but also improve energy access in remote areas.
