Woman’s body recovered from hilltop in Mayurbhanj
In a shocking incident, the body of a woman was found on a hill near JF Jamudhia under Kaptipada police station in Mayurbhanj district on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Mamuni Pradhan from Jayantipatta village. Her body was found at Sapana hill, about three km away from her home.
While the cause of death remains unclear, her family has alleged that she was murdered. Police have recovered the body and are investigating the incident.
"She (Mamuni) left home on Thursday. We were told that she went towards the field in anger. However, we found her body today," said the deceased's father, Babaji Behera.

"We didn't know the exact reason why she left home. However, her (Mamuni's) family members told us that she left home in anger and asked us to find her. We searched her at different places, but didn't find her anywhere yesterday. Some people in the area found her body on the hill and informed us. She has been murdered," said the deceased's brother, Bhabesh Kumar Behera.
Earlier last month, the body of an unidentified young woman was found dumped in a roadside drain near Thianal village under Kundheigola police limits in Deogarh district.
