Odisha to launch bus services to Char Dham soon,
In a piece of good news for the pilgrims in the State, Odisha government will soon run bus service to Char Dham- the four Hindu pilgrimage sites in India, informed Commerce and Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena ion Thursday.
Speaking to the media, Jena said the government will provide bus services from Puri to Ayodhya, Tirupati, Mathura and Brundaban.
“Odisha government has already taken a decision in this regard and special Volvo buses have also been brought for this purpose. Permissions in this regard have been obtained and routes have already been selected. The bus service will start before the New Year,” said Jena.
“Subsidy will be provided in the prices of tickets for pilgrims and women. The government is also mulling to run more buses connecting Bhubaneswar to the other states,” he added.
Notably, Char Dham is a set of four Hindu pilgrimage sites in India, consisting of Badrinath, Dwarka, Puri, and Rameswaram. As per Hindu belief, one can attain Moksha (salvation) by visiting these four pilgrim sites.
