A day after sealing roadside eatery named ‘Jaya Hotel’ in Satyabadi over allegations that it was serving beef to customers under the guise of mutton, the Puri district administration officials on Sunday imposed prohibitory orders under section 163 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).
The Puri district authorities have taken swift action against Jaya Hotel after a video surfaced online, reportedly showing beef being served at the eatery. The viral video stirred significant unrest amongst the local residents, compelling authorities to impose Section 163 within a one-kilometre radius of the hotel.
