CM Takes Stock Of Crop Loss In Nayagarh
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Sunday embarked on a tour to Nayagarh to assess the problems of farmers grappling with crop damage due to the recent incessant rains that lashed the state.
CM Mohan Majhi is also scheduled to undertake similar spot visits to Ganjam and Gajapati districts to assess the devastation caused by unseasonal rains across the state in the month of December. Odisha Assembly Speaker Surama Padhy also accompanied the Chief Minister.
CM Majhi interacted with the farmers and assured all possible assistance to them at the earliest.

With the opposition BJD recently alleged that at least four farmers have died unnaturally due to crop loss in the last eight days in the state.
Deputy Chief Minister Pravati met with distressed farmers in the Bhagavanpur Panchayat located in Dhamnagar Block, Bhadrak.
The local farmers emotionally showcased the devastated rice crops, which were critically damaged by continuous downpour,
affecting grains meant for annual sustenance. She reassured the farmers that the Odisha government is keen on facilitating adequate compensation.
Similarly, Deputy Chief Minister KV Singh Deo visited the areas hit hard by rainfall in the Niali Block, in Cuttack. He is also scheduled to hold an administrative review meeting and visit Tirtol and assess crop loss situation in Kujang block as well.
Opposition Leader's Outlook
Opposition Leader Naveen Patnaik is also slated to visit the agriculturally impacted regions. His itinerary includes a visit to Puri, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, and Kendrapada on December 31.
