Odisha celebrates Ram Navami with religious fervour
Devotees across Odisha gathered in large numbers to celebrate Ram Navami with religious fervour and devotion.
In Bhubaneswar, hundreds assembled at the Ram Temple, chanting the name of Lord Ram and engaging in readings from the sacred Ram Charit Manas. The temple was lit up with lamps as worshippers offered prayers, seeking blessings from the deity.
Festivities Across the State
Similar religious celebrations soaked with devotional fervour reportedly took place in Ram temples throughout Odisha. Different places in Odisha wore festive looks as pandals have been erected at different places on the occasion. A large number of devotees gathered at different shrines in villages and cities in the State to offer prayers to Lord Ram.
Celebration In Sambalpur
In the early hours of the day, thousands of devotees in Sambalpur flocked to Lord Ram's temples and pandals to offer their prayers. A grand procession will be organised by the Hanuman Samanwaya Samiti in the afternoon today, adding a festive spirit to the town.

Earlier a day before, a traditional puja was performed at the Hanuman Temple situated in Brooks Hill that followed a grand procession.
Elaborate Festivities In Bhadrak
In Bhadrak, extensive arrangements have been made by the local police and Shri Ram Mahayagna Samiti for Ram Navami celebrations.
The town will witness a vibrant Sankirtan procession starting at 3 pm, featuring 88 beautifully adorned 'Medhas' representing various localities across the district. The procession will commence from Nehru Stadium, continue through the town, and conclude at 'Gandhi Padia' where a significant ceremonial offering will be performed at midnight.
Security Measures In Place
In response to the large gatherings, the police have reportedly established robust security arrangements. A total of 27 platoons of police forces have been deployed along with CCTV installations at key locations in Bhadrak. During the Sankirtan procession, drone cameras will be utilised to monitor proceedings from a central control room.
