Navy Day in Puri: As celebration countdown begins, here's a sneak peek into ongoing preparations

The Eastern coast of India is gearing up for a major celebration as Puri, the holy city of Odisha, is all set to host the Navy Day on December 4 at its renowned Blue Flag Beach. 

The annual event will highlight the Indian Navy's valour, commitment and readiness through various dynamic naval exercises that are set to showcase its capability to defend against any external threat.

Preparations are in full swing as large naval ships vigilantly patrol the waters. Rehearsals are in full swing, with scenes of grandeur lining the Puri Blue Flag Beach. Naval ships cruise majestically along the coastline, power boats vigilantly patrol the waters, and the skies are abuzz with the frequent flybys of helicopters and fighter jets.

Meanwhile, battle tanks await their turn to demonstrate their power along the ocean's edge. Personnel of the navy will participate in a parade, embodying the courage and heroism intrinsic to their service.

The skies are all set to witness to frequent aerial maneuvers by helicopters and fighter jets, displaying aerial prowess. Adding to the spectacle, the coastline rumbles with the distinct sound as tanks undergo meticulous preparations. 

The Navy Day celebrations at Puri not only serve as a tribute to the armed forces but also bolster a sense of national pride among citizens. President Droupadi Murmu will grace the event as the chief guest, lending further significance to the occasion.

Residents and visitors alike are expected to gather in large numbers, with stringent security measures in place to ensure the safety of all attendees. A laser show, illustrating the Navy's might and sophistication, will be among the event's highlights. The spectacular laser show is planned to highlight the navy's maritime operational prowess, at around 4pm on December 4, promising an awe-inspiring display.
