A petition demanding a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry into the much-debated murder of senior BJD leader and former Health Minister Naba Kishore Das in Jharsuguda district was filed in the Orissa High Court in Cuttack on Friday.

Responding to the recent demand by Dipali, Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan stated, “If the Naba Das’ family is dissatisfied with the previous governmental probe, they should submit a written request, and the Government will deliberate upon it.”
The Chief Minister is expected to consider whether a CBI probe should be initiated.
Worth mentioning, the daughter of the late BJD leader and former Jharsuguda MLA, Dipali Das spoke out regarding the CBI probe into her father's murder, on Wednesday.
In a statement, Dipali said, “Some BJP leaders have been questioning and criticising me and my family on media as to why we have not requested a CBI probe?” She had urged the Mohan Majhi government to consider initiating a formal inquiry by the CBI.
