Dipali Das alleging in a presser
A day after, late BJD leader Naba Das’ daughter and former Jharsuguda legislator, Dipali Das raised her voice against the much-debated murder of her father, Odisha Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan said it makes no meaning to say anything when years have lapsed.
“Who she is (Dipali) pointing to? The State government was theirs (BJD-led), the probing agency was with them, and the Police Department was theirs too. They had wanted to cover up the incident to stay at the centre of power politics,” the Minister said to mediapersons.
The family had remained silent when they should have raised their voice.
“No complain was made at that time by the family, which was expected. However, she telling all those things now means nothing,” Law Minister Harichandan stated.
“Whatever developments will be there and decisions will be taken by the Government in the future will be informed to the media,” the Law Minister asserted.
On the other hand, senior BJD leader and former Minister Padmanav Behera expressed that he has no knowledge of any complains made by Naba Das’ family.
“I have no knowledge of any complaint earlier made in this regard and even when we were in government, no such complaint was made. It is good if she does so now. Let a fresh probe be initiated and there is no problem in it,” the BJD leader said.
Worth mentioning, earlier in a presser yesterday, Dipali had alleged that her father was murdered with the help of a police official on Jharsuguda soil in Odisha.
