Training his guns on the Congress, National Vice President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Baijayant Panda on Sunday said that the Central government has provided lakhs of crores of rupees to Odisha in the last 10 years while the previous UPA government used to say ‘money does not grow on trees.’
The BJP stalwart said this to reporters after having darshan of Maa Samalei during his visit to Sambalpur on Sunday.
“India has made remarkable progress in the last ten years. Odisha was earlier getting frustrated while asking for Rs 500 crore allocation for the railways sector. But now lakhs of crores of rupees are being allocated by the Central government. Remember a time when Odisha was asking the Central government for funds, the latter was denying it with a curt remark like ‘money does not grow on trees’. Now, the Modi government is allocating lakhs of crores of rupees.”
He further stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Odisha will have no dearth of funds for its development in the days to come.

Crores of people in the country celebrated the homecoming of Ram Lalla with deep devotion that day. People have welcomed it. The temple is the identity of the new Bharat. All Indians who regard India as motherland should welcome the temple."
