Minor girl abducted from tuition class, boyfriend among four accused of gangrape attempt
In a shocking incident, a minor girl, who had gone to attend tuition classes, was allegedly abducted by her boyfriend along with three of his friends in Udala area of Mayurbhanj district.
According to sources, on the 2nd of this month, before the tuition session began, the accused, including the victim’s boyfriend, forcibly took her away. They allegedly took her to a nearby forest in the Udala region, where they attempted to gang-rape her. The girl managed to escape during the ordeal.
Upon learning about the incident, the victim’s family members lodged a written complaint at Udala Police Station.
Based on the complaint, the police registered a case and arrested the boyfriend, Prajnasu Das Babu, while the others remain absconding. Prajnasu has been forwarded to the court.

"There was a gangrape attempt on a minor girl, and an FIR in connection with the incident has been lodged at Udala police station. A case (No.314) has been registered in connection with the incident. Based on the FIR, immediate action was taken, and the main accused, Prajnasu Das Babu, was arrested. He was immediately forwarded to court. A search operation is on to find his associates. They will soon be arrested and forwarded to court," said Udala police station IIC Banamali Barik.
