Bhubaneswar Minor Girl Gang Rape Case: Crime Branch submits affidavit in Orissa HC

Bhubaneswar: The Crime Branch of Odisha Police on Monday submitted an affidavit in Orissa High Court in connection with the alleged gang rape of a minor girl in Bhubaneswar.

Sources informed that the affidavit by Crime Branch mentioned that the case was taken over by the agency on October 6 and as per the court’s direction, an SP-rank officer is conducting the probe in the case.

Besides, all the concerned documents in the case have been received along with the mobile phones of the accused, the Crime Branch affidavit mentioned. Moreover, police have already recorded the statements of the victim and the complainant, it added.

The next hearing in the matter is scheduled for Wednesday, sources said.
