Massive fire devours 10 boats at fishing jetty in Paradip
As many as 10 fishing boats were engulfed in fierce flames as a devastating fire swept through the Nehru Bungalow fishing jetty in Paradip on Thursday.
As per reports, the blaze began on a solitary boat before the high winds of the area hastened its spread to the adjacent boats. The intensity of the fire posed significant challenges while trying to contain it.
Upon being informed, as many as eight fire-fighting units rushed to the spot and started operations immediately to tackle the blaze.
As many more boats remain docked in the vicinity, there were escalating concerns over the fire's potential to spread further.
