Though the reason behind the death of the labourer is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that the person might have died due to suffocation inside the hatch of the ship.

The entry of Congress leader Bapi Sarkhel’s wife Monidipa Sarkhel into the BJD has added a twist to the politics in Paradip. Her entry is said to have thrown a challenge for incumbent MLA Sambit Routray, who is hoping for a party ticket for him or his wife Gitanjali. 

Meanwhile, Routray has refuted any kind of resentment in BJD in Paradip.

The crew member, who happens to be the third engineer of the ship, jumped into the sea after allegedly slitting his hand.

The school authorities had printed an invitation card for its annual function held on Friday. The PHO is functioning under the Central government. And Dr Panigrahi is working as the officer of the PHO. The PHO’s main function among others is to provide COVID  clearance certificates to those coming from other countries. 

Five of them were later rescued by the local fishermen, fire brigade personnel and Coast Guard. Three of them are still missing and the rescue operation is on.
