Sambalpur police releases picture of accused in crime, to reward 1 lakh for information
The Sambalpur police have announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for information leading to the capture of a suspect involved in a crime. It is believed that the suspect is one of the miscreants involved in the Manappuram gold loan office loot last week.
To assist in the search, the police have released two photographs of the accused, emphasizing that individuals who provide information resulting in the suspect's apprehension will be eligible for the reward.
The identity of the informant will be kept confidential to ensure their safety, the police assured.
To facilitate the reporting of any information, the police have provided two mobile numbers: 89269-87695 and 89269-87693. Authorities have urged the public to contact these numbers if they spot the accused.
However, the police did not to disclose any information regarding the name of the accused or the specific crime he is associated with, aiming to prevent any potential hindrances in the ongoing investigation.
Manappuram Gold Loan Office Loot
Sambalpur Police on Saturday (January 4) formed four specialised teams in the wake of a daring heist at the Manappuram gold loan office. Although extensive searches are being conducted across state borders, no arrests have been made yet.
The daring robbery saw thieves abscond with approximately 28 kilograms and 200 grams of gold jewellery alongside Rs 4.8 lakh in cash.
