Sridhar Sahu
Following an OTV report about the shocking incident, local authorities in Kendrapara district on Friday responded to the ordeal of an 80-year-old man who had to crawl all the way to the local panchayat office to avail his old-age pension.
As per reports, following an order by the Orissa High Court, the Secretary of the Legal Services Authority and some officials of the district administration made an on-site visit to the residence of Sridhar Sahu at Koro Gram Panchayat in the district.
During their visit, the authorities reportedly conducted inquiries into the challenges that Sahu faces, offering promises of a swift resolution.
It has been found that Sahu's household is lacking basic amenities such as electricity. In response, Kendrapara BDO Abhisek Swain has promised that necessary steps will be taken to provide electricity to the family soon.
