International Day of Yoga: Hundreds join Puri Gajapati Maharaja, BJP National VP Baijayant Panda in Bhubaneswar

The International Day of Yoga was celebrated with great enthusiasm on the Kasturba Shikshashram premises in Nayapalli on Friday. Kendrapara MP and BJP National Vice President Baijayant Panda attended the event.

Panda, who performed yoga alongside hundreds of participants, stressed the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life for physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Among others, Puri Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb, BJP State Vice President Golak Mohapatra also attended the session.

A large number of residents, students, and yoga practitioners from across the city gathered to take part in the mass yoga session. Guided by trained instructors, participants performed various asanas, pranayama, and meditation techniques aimed at promoting holistic health.

Speaking on the occasion, Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb said, “Yoga is a profound contribution of our ancient saints and sages. It is a matter of great pride that, through the efforts of the Government of India, yoga is now being practiced across the globe. This practice will help shape better individuals, and these individuals will collectively contribute to building an ideal nation.”
