International Buddhist Conference in Jajpur
First International Guru Padmasambhava Buddhist Conference kick-started at the Udayagiri Buddhist Monastery in Jajpur on Sunday. Sikkim Minister Ven Sonam Lama officially inaugurated the conference.
Hundreds of Buddhist monks and esteemed guests across India and abroad took part in the conference. Attendees include representatives from 17 countries as well as diverse regions across India.
Distinguished figures, including Jajpur MP Rabindra Narayan Behera, Barchana MLA Amar Nayak and the district Collector were also present to lend their support to the cause.

As per sources, the conference is focused on promoting world peace through collective chants and dialogue.
In a show of unity, the conference commenced with a colourful procession from Udayagiri Square to the Buddhist monastery. This gathering marks the first initiative by the Light of Buddha Dharma Foundation International at such a grand scale. The event is scheduled to run until January 16.
