Odisha Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan
While the aspiration to provide new ornaments for Lord Jagannath and sibling deities- Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra in Puri continues to resonate with the devotees, Odisha's Law Minister, Prithviraj Harichandan, on Sunday stated that such an adornment change will only occur if it aligns with the divine will of the Lord.
"Everybody wants new ornaments for the deities. However, if Lord Jagannath wishes, it will only be possible," remarked Minister Harichandan, highlighting the belief that new ornaments could only be possible through divine intervention.
The Minister also underscored that the desire remains connected to the hope for new embellishments.

The development has irked countless devotees of Lord Jagannath. They have been demanding that new sets of ornaments should be made for the deities.
Apart from Ratna Bhandar, some devotees have donated gold to Lord Jagannath. Hence, the servitors have also been demanding that Holy Trinity’s old ornaments should be changed.
