The Odisha government has formed a high-level committee to oversee the planning and execution of the much-anticipated Bhubaneswar Metro Rail project, said Urban Development Minister Krushna Chandra Mohapatra on Friday.

The Committee will conduct detailed studies and assessments to ensure the project's feasibility and efficient implementation.

Project Evaluation Underway

Speaking about the progress of the Bhubaneswar Metro Rail project, the Minister stated that discussions are ongoing regarding the operational framework and how the project will be executed.

The financial viability of the project is also a key area of focus, and a comprehensive review is being conducted to assess the funding and economic feasibility.

The high-level committee is responsible for evaluating various aspects of the project and has been visiting cities where metro services are already operational.
