High drama after woman 'beats up' auto-rickshaw driver on busy Bhubaneswar road

High drama unfolded on the busy street of Bhubaneswar's Jayadev Vihar after an auto-rickshaw driver was allegedly beaten up by a woman. 

According to sources, the auto-rickshaw driver was thrashed by the woman and her male friends. The driver was reportedly rescued by locals while he was being taken away by his tormentors.  

On being informed by locals, Police reached the spot and rescued the victim driver.

"Three people, including one woman, came in a scooter and asked me to remove my vehicle. I asked them to wait for some time. Then the lady got some people and thrashed me," said the victim driver.

"I thrashed him because he misbehaved with me. I did not call anyone. I was having food, he came and attacked my sister," said the accused woman. 

No comments were received from the Police.
