Rs 5.5 lakh SHG cash snatched from Odisha woman in front of Police Station

In an audacious act, two bike-borne miscreants allegedly snatched a bag containing Rs 5.5 lakh from a woman in broad daylight right in front of Pipili Police Station.

Throwing an open challenge to police, two bike-borne miscreants on Thursday allegedly snatched a bag containing Rs 5.5lakh from a woman in broad daylight right in front of Pipili Police Station.

As per reports, a woman of an SHG in Sampur panchayat in Pipili had withdrawn Rs 5,58,000 from a branch of the State Bank of India. It was around 4 pm then. After withdrawing the money, she was returning to the vehicle where her relative was waiting for her. Just then, two bike-borne miscreants came from nowhere and before she could react, they snatched the cash bag from her and sped away.

The victim lodged a complaint at Pipili Police Station. On the basis of the complaint, the police have launched a probe and manhunt to nab the culprits.
