Has Odisha’s Priyanka Senapati shared confidential info about Puri with Pakistani spy Jyoti Malhotra?

A young woman from Odisha’s Puri, identified as Priyanka Senapati, is currently under investigation for allegedly sharing sensitive information with Jyoti Malhotra, a suspected Pakistani spy posing as a journalist.

Priyanka, a content creator from Puri, has gained a significant audience with 14,600 subscribers on YouTube and 20,000 followers on Instagram. She is recognised for her engaging travel vlogs, which explore destinations across Odisha and beyond.

On March 25, she uploaded a video on her YouTube channel, ‘Prii_vlogs,’ showcasing her trip to Pakistan. Titled 'Odia Girl in Pakistan Kartarpur Corridor Guide Odia Vlog,' the video offers a glimpse into her experience.

According to sources, intelligence agencies have launched a detailed inquiry into Priyanka’s alleged association with Malhotra. Officials are reportedly examining photographs and videos that suggest a close relationship between the two.

The investigation has also expanded to probe whether Priyanka may have unknowingly or deliberately shared confidential information about Puri and nearby regions.

Priyanka Senapati and Jyoti Malhotra Visited Puri Together?

In September 2024, Malhotra visited Puri accompanied by Priyanka Senapati. Now, investigators are seeking to establish where she stayed, who hosted her, and how long she remained in contact with Priyanka.

All of Priyanka's social media accounts are currently under scrutiny by cyber units. She has already faced multiple rounds of interrogation, along with her family, regarding how she met Malhotra, the nature and duration of their relationship, and what kind of personal or local intelligence may have been shared.

While Priyanka claims her connection with Jyoti was purely friendly, security agencies are not ruling out the possibility that she may have been manipulated into unwittingly aiding a foreign intelligence operation.

Both state intelligence and central agencies, including cyber units, are now conducting marathon interrogations to unravel the full extent of the connection. Priyanka has reportedly been asked not to leave Puri until the investigation concludes.

Kartarpur visit in the spotlight

One major point of suspicion revolves around a visit to the Kartarpur Corridor in Pakistan. Reports mentioned that authorities are attempting to determine whether Priyanka accompanied or facilitated Malhotra’s movements in sensitive areas, including parts of Pakistan and Kashmir. 

Questions are also being raised about whether her travel extended beyond the Kartarpur Corridor to other locations within Pakistan.
