Bomb explosion in Puri
A late-night bomb explosion in Jamalpur village under Pipili block in Puri district has left as many as four people injured. One among the injured is reportedly in critical condition.
As per some locals, the incident occurred due to a land dispute in the village. However, it is yet to be confirmed.
As per reports, the explosion occurred when a device detonated in the hand of a young man, severely injuring him. He was then transferred to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bhubaneswar for urgent medical care.

Local police reportedly initiated an investigation into the cause of the explosion while the nature and origin of the bomb is yet to be determined.
Earlier, a bomb exploded on a public road at Shedheiagarh in Khordha district, killing one person and critically injuring another.
The explosion occurred when the duo was allegedly transporting the explosive on a motorcycle.
In September 2024, tension erupted at a private engineering college under Airfield police limits in Bhubaneswar after some unidentified miscreants hurled two bombs targeting the education institution. Several students of the college were reportedly injured in the attack.
