Former Odisha CM Hemananda Biswal’s wife and daughter injured in road accident
A road accident near Handapa on National Highway 55 on Sunday afternoon left the wife and daughter of former Odisha Chief Minister Hemananda Biswal injured after their car collided with another vehicle.
As per reports, the accident occurred while the victims were en route to Bhubaneswar from Jharsuguda. The vehicle carrying Urmila Biswal, wife of Hemannanda Biswal, and their daughter, Congress leader Amita Biswal, reportedly rammed into another car ahead of them.
In a surprising coincidence, the other car involved in the collision was reportedly carrying former legislator Amar Satpathy and Prabhat Tripathy, both political figures themselves. Fortunately, there were no immediate reports of injuries from the occupants of the second vehicle.
As per reports, the impact of the collision left Urmila Biswal and her daughter Amita with multiple injuries. They were promptly shifted to the Angul District Headquarters Hospital for medical treatment.
