Man falls to death from tractor in Angul
In a cruel twist of fate, a sombre atmosphere enveloped the village of Baliamba village under Handapa police limits in Angul district, following a double tragedy in a family. The family was grieving the death of the breadwinner the family when they were looted, adding to their grief.
According to sources, Bijay Sahu along with his family resided in Baliamba village. He went from door to door and sold vegetables for a living. As usual, Bijay had gone to work on Monday. Unfortunately, he lost his life in a fatal accident while returning home from the mark after a day’s hard work.
Tragically, Sahu fell from a tractor near Barasahi, close to the Bagadia police station, resulting in his untimely death. The news of his unexpected demise quickly reached his family.
Grieving relatives, including Bijay's wife, hurried from their village to the site of the accident. However, their grief was compounded when they returned home to find their house had been burgled during their absence.
According to witnesses, a group of seven to eight armed individuals stormed into the house and absconded with significant amounts of cash and gold jewellery. The intruders reportedly threatened the family with firearms during the robbery.
The incident has compounded the grief of the family, already reeling from the recent loss.
