Doctor’s ‘negligence in duty’ affects treatment of patients in Cuttack
Patients are facing lots of difficulties in their treatment at Banki hospital in Cuttack district as a doctor is allegedly neglecting her duty.
As per the allegation by several patients and their attendants, the doctor is not attending her duty in time and leaving emergency duty for long duration of time in between affecting the treatment process.
As per reports, many patients have to wait for hours and their treatment is getting neglected due to the alleged lackadaisical attitude of the doctor in the hospital.
Many patients have further alleged that the medical authorities have turned a deaf ear to their ordeals despite several allegations against the doctor.
Even it has been alleged that the doctor misbehaving with the patients and their attendants in the hospital.

“When I reached Banki hospital with my ailing brother, the doctor was absent and we have to wait for more than half an hour for treatment. When the doctor came, she misbehaved with me and the patient,” rued an attendant of a patient.
Meanwhile, in response to the allegations, Banki Sub Divisional Medical Officer (SDMO) Banabasi Behera said that the concerned doctor will be issued show cause notice over the allegations.
“The doctor should not leave the duty before time. We will issue a show cause notice to her in this regard,” said Behera.
However, no reaction could be obtained from the concerned doctor over the matter.
