However, light rain may continue at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Gajapati, and Ganjam.

Meanwhile, the Regional Meteorological Center in Bhubaneswar added that shallow to moderate fog will be witnessed at one or two places of Dhenkanal, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, and Angul today whereas Sundergarh, Bolangir, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Nuapada, Bargarh, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj may be engulfed in fog tomorrow.

The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack will see temperatures drop by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius between today and 31st December. On New Year’s Eve, the state capital may record a low of 16 degrees Celsius while the neighboring Silver City may slip to 15 degrees Celsius.

The forecast came as sunlight reached the ground after overcast skies cleared across most places of Odisha this morning, including Bhubaneswar.
