Cashless treatment facilities under Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) remain active: H&FW Dept

After some Odisha hospitals denied BSKY beneficiaries cashless treatment due to a government change, the H&FW Department assured continued service and payment of claims. The department urged hospitals to avoid disruptions in care, addressing fears and rumors about the scheme's discontinuation.

A day after a few private hospitals in Odisha allegedly denied cashless treatment facilities to beneficiaries of the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY), citing a change in government, the H&FW Department, Odisha, has clarified that all the BSKY beneficiaries will continue to avail the cashless healthcare services.

Fearing that the scheme may be discontinued and their dues may not be cleared due to the change in government, some hospitals reportedly denied accepting BSKY cards. However, all claims raised by the hospital will be paid by SHAS as before, the H& FW Dept informed.
