Bombs hurled at Cuttack bamboo trader's house

Unidentified miscreants reportedly hurled bombs at the residence of a bamboo trader over suspected previous enmity in Cuttack, police said on Saturday. The incident occurred in Subhadrapur, falling under the jurisdiction of the Cuttack Sadar police station, late Friday night.

Fortunately, no casualty has been reported.

While the exact reason behind the bomb attack remains unclear, preliminary investigations by the police suggest that business rivalry may be a possible motive. However, the definitive cause is still under investigation. The assailants managed to flee the scene before they could be apprehended.

According to sources, as of now, no casualties or significant damage have been reported from the incident. The owner of the house rushed from his house after the explosion to assess the situation and the extent of any damage. Following this incident, he filed a formal complaint with the Cuttack Sadar police station, prompting an immediate investigation.

As per reports, the bamboo trader, who has been running his business in Subhadrapur for some time, could have developed some rivalry with other traders established in the area, prompting the attack.

The police have been actively questioning locals in the vicinity to gather more information regarding the attack and identify the miscreants involved. 

Additionally, authorities have collected CCTV footage from the area to establish the identities of those responsible. Despite the efforts, the identity of the attackers remains unknown.
