Bhubaneswar shopkeeper attacked for extortion money 

Throwing an open challenge to the Cuttack-Bhubaneswar Commissionerate Police, six to seven unidentified miscreants attacked a shopkeeper murderously while seeking extortion money near Nayapalli DAV School in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday. 

The entire act has been captured in the CCTV camera installed at the shop. 

In the video footage, two youths with one wearing a face mask came to the shop. They had a verbal spat with the shopkeeper. Then all of a sudden, the duo started beating the shopkeeper. Later, four to five youths joined the duo and attacked the shopkeeper. One of them even picked up a gas cylinder kept near the shop and hurled it at the shopkeeper.

In the video, no one was seen coming to the rescue of the shopkeeper. He suffered injuries on his head, eyes, and other body parts. 

On the basis of the shopkeeper’s complaint, the Nayapalli Police has registered a case. They have seized the CCTV footage and on the basis of it, a probe has been launched.
