Bhubaneswar bars, nightclubs openly flouting norms; Commissionerate Police vows action

Rampant violations of existing guidelines have again come to the fore following raids by the Commissionerate Police on various bars and pubs in Bhubaneswar on Saturday night.

During the raid, it was found that several bars in the city were operating beyond the stipulated timings. A majority of the bars in Patia and Chandrasekharpur areas were found to operating till 2:30 a.m.

As per initial reports, a special team of Commissionerate Police conducted a special inspection at various bars, and nightclubs in Chandrasekharpur, Patia, Cuttack Road, Mancheswar, and Infocity. 

Sources said that soon action will be taken against the owners of such bars, and nightclubs for violating the norms.
