Bhadrak bank robbery case: Two including former employee arrested
In connection with the recent armed robbery in the AU Small Finance Bank at Tihidi market in Bhadrak, police have arrested as many as two individuals including a former employee of the bank on Sunday.
The accused have been identified as Prahalad Rout, a former employee of the bank, and Anil Behera, a resident of Jamujhari village under Phulbani Sadar.
The incident occurred on June 11, when as many as four armed miscreants looted the AU Small Finance Bank by brandishing firearms. More than Rs 7 lakh was reportedly stolen during the heist.
Following a detailed investigation, the police managed to apprehend two of the culprits. However, two others involved in the crime remain at large. The manhunt for the absconding accused is currently underway.

As per reports, the robbers had entered the bank wearing masks and held the bank manager at gunpoint while demanding cash. Creating panic among the staff and customers, they swiftly collected the money and fled the scene before police could reach the spot.
The entire act was executed in just a few minutes, leaving the bank employees in shock.
