Ayushman Bharat Yojana to be implemented by end of this financial year in Odisha: Minister Mukesh Mahaling
The much-awaited Centre's health coverage scheme Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) will be implemented in Odisha by the end of this current financial year, informed state health minister Mukesh Mahaling on Sunday.
the Centre’s flagship health insurance scheme, AB-PMJAY, will be integrated with the state’s own health scheme- Gobandhu Jan Arogya Yojana (G-JAY) and individual cards will be provided to nearly 3.5 crore people in the state after MoU is signed with the Government of India.
The scheme will benefit elderly persons above 70 years.
"Under CM Mohan Majhi's leadership and vision to provide better health services, Ayushman Bharat Yojana will be implemented soon. Under the scheme, people avail treatment facilities in around 27,000 hospitals from Kashmir to Kanyakumari," said Mahaling.
The minister further informed that the Odisha government will implement the Ayushman Bharat Yojana with a vision to improve health facilities and provide good and quality services to the people.
