Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to arrive in Bhubaneswar on December 28 for an important political engagement. His official visit is part of a concise (two-day) itinerary, with a departure scheduled for the evening of December 29.

According to Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) state in-charge Vijay Pal Singh Tomar, the Union Home Minister will not be visiting Sambalpur as earlier scheduled.

On the day following his arrival, Union Minister Shah will attend a video conference from Bhubaneswar, connecting with the BJP’s national headquarters in Delhi. This meeting is said to be an important one, as it involves party state unit presidents, organisational secretaries, in-charges, deputy-in-charges, and national office bearers from across the country.

In addition, another significant programme is slated at Kalinga Stadium in the State Capital where Amit Shah will interact with BJP Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs), Members of Parliament (MPs), and workers, urging further political action in the State.

“He (the Union Home Minister) will be reaching on December 28, in the evening. He will stay in Bhubaneswar at night. On December 29, he is scheduled to attend programmes in ITBP, a university, and sports stadium,” the BJP state in-charge expressed.

“Wherever he (the Union Minister) has any public programme, our party workers will fully co-operate and where he has any official programme, the government officials will take care. Action plan for BJP in the State will be chalked out after the party’s national level meeting,” the BJP state in-charge said.

“However, for the time being, we are busy in finalising presidents of 30 districts (in Odisha),” in-charge Tomar added while briefing mediapersons.
