5 IPS officers promoted to IG rank, 6 to DIG rank

At least five IPS officers of 2006 batch have been promoted to IG rank, the General Administration & Public Grievance Department, Government of Odisha, informed this issuing a notification on Friday. 

The IPS officers who have been promoted to the IG rank are DIG Anup Sahu, Amrita Dash, Anirudh Kumar Singh, Anup Krishna and Sudha Singh. 

Similarly, six IPS officers of 2010 batch have been promoted to the grade of DIG. These officers are Mitrabhanu Mahapatra, Shara Sharma, Kanwar Vishal Singh, Ashis Kumar Singh, Parul Gupta and K Siva Subramani. 

An IPS officer of 1999, Ghanashyam Upadhyay, who is on Central deputation, has been promoted to ADG of Police. 

Worth mentioning, Ashis Kumar Singh, Parul Gupta and K Siva Subramani are on Central deputation.
