A day after actress Varsha Priyadarshini lodged a fresh FIR against her husband and BJD MP Anubhav Mohanty, Cuttack deputy commissioner of police (DCP) Pinak Mishra on Monday said the content of the complaint is being analysed.

“We received a written complaint from Varsha Priyadarshini at Purighat police station yesterday. We have acknowledged the complaint. We will analyse the content of the FIR and take action accordingly,” Mishra told OTV.

“A case already registered earlier in the dispute between Varsha Priyadarshini and Anubhav Mohanty and Anubhav’s ‘Dearest Friend’ Jagrati Shukla, and a probe is underway. We are also taking into consideration the subsequent complaints being made by her. We are analysing whether contents are cognizable or non-cognizable offence and take action accordingly,” Mishra added.

Varsha lodged complaint against her husband and his family at Purighat police station in Cuttack on Sunday. In her seven-page FIR, she accused Anubhav of telling concocted story through two videos in order to tarnish her image when the matter is sub-judice.

She also alleged that the actor has been assassinating her character by uploading such videos and giving untasteful comments.
