While the Opposition has been intensifying protests across Odisha seeking justice for deceased Kalahandi teacher Mamita Meher and resignation of Odisha MoS (Home) Dibya Shankar Mishra, another State Minister faced the ire of the protesters on Monday.

As per reports, the protestors pelted eggs at the Women & Child Development Minister Tukuni Sahu's car during her visit to Narla in Kalahandi today. Workers belonging to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress waved black flags and hurled eggs on a vehicle carrying Sahu while she was returning from Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's programme to distribute Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) smart health cards at the OUAT premises in Bhawanipatna.

It is pertinent to mention here that the BJD leader (Tukuni Sahu) had also faced massive protest by Opposition party workers on November 3 during her visit to Sambalpur for the distribution of BSKY smart health cards. On the other hand, protesters also hurled eggs at Minister of State Tourism and Culture Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi car when he was on his way back from a programme held in Kalampur when the .

Sahu became the second Minister who faced such humiliation after Mishra during the protests for justice for Mamita.

Mishra was shown black flags by the protesters during his visit to Junagarh in Kalahandi district yesterday (November 7). Moreover, the irate Opposition party workers hurled eggs at his vehicle as a mark of protest against his alleged role in the murder of the school teacher.
