Hours after irate Opposition protesters hurled eggs at a vehicle carrying Odisha’s Women & Child Development Minister Tukuni Sahu's during her visit to Narla in Kalahandi on Monday, another Biju Janata Dal (BJD) Minister came under a shower of eggs in the same district over demands for justice to slain lady teacher Mamita Meher.

As per reports, Minister of State Tourism and Culture Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi was on his way back from a programme held in Kalampur when the protesters hurled eggs at his car. The agitated protesters also greeted the Minister with black flags at the minister along with missiles of eggs. The protesters reportedly belonged to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress, informed sources.

Earlier today, some protestors belonging to Opposition parties pelted eggs at the Women & Child Development Minister Tukuni Sahu's car during her visit to Narla in Kalahandi. The workers waved black flags and hurled eggs at the vehicle carrying Sahu while she was returning from Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's programme to distribute Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) smart health cards at the OUAT premises in Bhawanipatna.

MoS (Home) Dibya Shankar Mishra, who is in the eye of a storm over his alleged close links with the prime accused Gobinda Sahoo in Kalahandi district lady teacher murder case, also faced the wrath of protesters on November 7. The protesters showed him (Dibya Shankar Mishra) black flags and hurled eggs on his car during his visit to Junagarh.
