Actor Babushaan's anticipatory bail plea disposed of by Orissa HC

The Orissa High Court on Thursday disposed of the anticipatory bail application moved by Ollywood actor Babushaan Mohanty apprehending his arrest.

On July 27, Babushaan had moved the HC seeking pre-arrest or anticipatory bail in connection with a case filed by his wife Trupti Satpathy.

Trupti had lodged a case under section 498 ‘A’ against him at Kharvel Nagar Police station while a case under IPC section 506 has been registered against his co-actor Prakruti Mishra.

Babushaan’s lawyer Dharanidhar Nayak said, “Babushaan is cooperating with police in the investigation . So, Babushaan has no fear of getting arrested. Keeping this in mind, the court had disposed of the anticipatory bail application filed by the actor.”

He further said, “Babushaan’s wife Trupti had brought an allegation against the actor. Apprehending arrest, the actor had sought anticipatory bail. Lawyers from both sides informed the court that Babushaan appeared at police station and helped the investigating officials in their probe.  The court disposed of the actor’s anticipatory bail after listening to the statement made by both sides.”
