Actor Babushaan discharged from hospital; wife Trupti takes him home

Actor Babushaan Mohanty was discharged from hospital where he was undergoing treatment following a fall in oxygen level a few days ago.

His wife Trupti Satpathy, meanwhile, came to the hospital and took him home. For last few months, Babushaan and Trupti were living separately due to a family dispute.  Trupti took Babushan to her in-law’s house following the latter’s discharge, sources said. 

OTV talked to Rabi Mishra, who is close to Babushaan’s family and leaving no stone unturned to reunite Babushaan with Trupti says, “Trupti had admitted Babushaan to hospital following a fall in oxygen level. She was on examination duty at her school. She came to hospital after her school was over and completed the discharge formalities before taking him home with her.”

He added: “Babushaan got speedy recovery because of Trupti.  Doctors attending Babushaan provided all the medicines to Trupti. She will take care of Babushaan now onwards. Trupti was there for Babushaan since he was hospitalized.”

About Babushaan’s sickness, Rabi said, “Babushaan had gone to Ladakh for promotion of his movie Daman. He had gone to Pangong from there. Babushan’s oxygen level decreased.    

The news of the actor’s illness has sent shockwaves across the State. After ‘Bidyarana’ and ‘Gote Thila Raja’, another big-budget movie ‘Daman’ starring Babushaan is all set to hit the silver screen around this festive season.   

Notably, the actor has been in the news in the recent past owing to the controversy involving his co-actor Prakruti Mishra. 

The controversy kicked off after a video of the actor’s wife Trupti harassing the actor’s co-actor Prakruti Mishra had gone viral on July 23. Later, complaints from both sides were lodged at Kharvel Nagar police station. 

A month later on August 20, the actor apologised to the people of Odisha and his in-laws by releasing a video. In the video, he said he would never commit such a mistake again. 

On August 24, Prakruti Mishra slapped a defamation suit of Rs 5.01 crore on Babushaan’s wife and her father.
