OPSC announces schedule for PGT document verification and interview; check dates, schedule

The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC), Cuttack, has issued a detailed notification regarding the Document Verification and Interview/Personality Test for the recruitment of Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) in Logic/Philosophy discipline, under Advertisement No. 25 of 2023-24.

In continuation of its earlier notice dated May 19, 2025 (No. 3362/PSC), the Commission has scheduled the recruitment process to be conducted from June 17 to June 20, 2025, at the OPSC office located at 19, Dr. P.K. Parija Road, Cuttack–753001.

Pedagogy Skills to Be Demonstrated

Candidates are required to demonstrate their pedagogy skills as part of the interview. They are required prepare a topic of their choice and present it within 8 to 10 minutes before the interview board. A whiteboard will be provided by the Commission for this purpose, the Commission said.

Provisional Candidature and Document Requirements

The candidature of all candidates is provisional. It is subject to rejection in case of any inadequacy or deficiency at any stage before or after verification. All certificates and documents must have been issued on or before March 18, 2024, it added.

Candidates are required to bring the original and one set of self-attested photocopies of the following documents:

• Hard copy of the online application form with roll number at the top-right corner (downloadable from www.opscechayan.in)

• Four passport size photographs (unsigned & unattested)

• Matriculation certificate for proof of age

• Bachelor's Degree and Post-Graduation certificates in the concerned subject

• B.Ed. certificate

• Mark sheets of all examinations (H.S.C., Graduation, Post Graduation, B.Ed.) including fail marks

• Degree or diploma in computer application (if applicable)

• Caste certificate (if applicable)

• Required Odia test pass certificate

• Permanent disability certificate (if applicable)

• Ex-servicemen release certificate and affidavit

• Sports identity card (if applicable)

• Valid proof of identity

• Any other documents as per Para-9 of the advertisement

• Attestation form (downloaded and filled, signed by a gazetted officer)

• Candidate Information Form (CIF)/Bio-data form with photograph

All submitted documents must bear the declaration, “Submitted by me and Certified as genuine and has not been cancelled” with the candidate's full signature and date, OPSC added.
